What to confirm when choosing garment buttons
Narrow the options by use, material, size and attachment method.
Begin with the garment and position
Shirts, jackets, trousers and decorative placements can require different weight, appearance and durability. Explain the garment type and where the button will be used.
Confirm size and attachment
Share diameter, thickness, hole count or shank construction, and whether the buttons will be hand sewn or used in production. Photographing a sample beside a ruler can help.
Check a sample first
Before production, use a physical sample to confirm color, finish, hand feel and compatibility with the fabric. This reduces misunderstandings later.
